After several rescheduling attempts throughout the season, the entire Olympus Lacrosse Team (SO/Fresh. JV, and Varsity) traveled to Utah County to face the Pleasant Grove Vikings this past weekend. The SO/Fresh Squad set the tone and pace for the entire team, coming away with a hard fought 6 to 5 victory over the Vikings. The JV Squad opened the gap even more with some solid shooting and winning their game 10 to 6. With the wind still blowing and the light beginning to fade, the Varsity Squad took to the field. The Vikings, still stinging from their back-to-back losses, came out hard and physical and by half time, PG was ahead, 6 to 4. The Oly coaching staff, always calm under pressure, rallied the boys at halftime and the Titans came out with improved ball control on offense and strong defensive play. During the last two quarters, the boys showed what it means to be a Titan Athlete, never giving up and working as a team. When the final whistle blew, Olympus stood victorious over PG, 9 to 7. Congrats to all of the Oly players and the coaching staff for a clean sweep!
